Teddy Powell, the Republican candidate for Alabama House District 10 in the special election to fill the vacant seat, released his first video ad as Election Day approaches on Tuesday, December 9th.
“This ad is to let people know that I know I'm not perfect, but I'll always be true and honest. I'll work hard for District 10 and get things done in Montgomery.” “I'm going to focus on that,” Powell said of his newly released position.
In a newly released commercial, Powell makes it clear that he is not a career politician seeking public office for personal gain.

“There are enough actors and political theaters in Washington, D.C. and Montgomery.” Powell added: “I'm ready to get to work solving real problems faced by real people like you and me. ”
“I am ready to serve the people of District 10. I'm ready to unite people so we can accomplish great things in Alabama, just like we accomplished in Madison. ”
Mr. Powell is currently serving two terms on the Madison City Council. He will face Huntsville resident and professional counselor Marilyn Lands, who lost the 2022 election to former U.S. Rep. David Cole. Mr. Cole resigned in August 2023.
