Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert announced Tuesday night that she would introduce articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden in a privileged motion, forcing all members of Congress to vote.
Bobert’s ResolutionThe bill, introduced earlier this month, contains two articles of impeachment against Biden. One concerns abuses of power related to federal immigration policy, and the second concerns dereliction of duty over unchecked crises at the border, including fentanyl trafficking. The resolution states, “President Biden has used his high-level authority to deliberately oversee an executive branch that has consistently, openly, and consistently violated federal immigration laws by pursuing aggressive, open-border agendas. It is written that
Boubert further said in the resolution that Biden “intentionally and knowingly removed more than two million illegal immigrants “without the intention or ability to present them before an immigration court for asylum or deportation proceedings.” ” claimed to have been released to the interior of the United States.
Boubert argued that Biden violated his oath to the Constitution by failing to uphold the rule of law. Such actions justify impeachment and trial, removal from office and other disqualifications of the government, Boubert argued.
White House press secretary Ian Sams accused Mr. Boebert of carrying out a “political stunt” on the impeachment motion. according to The Hill.
“Instead of working with President Biden on solutions to the issues most important to the American people…radical House Republicans do nothing to help real people, they only draw attention to themselves.” It’s staged an unsubstantiated political stunt,” Sams responded.
