RFK Jr. Brought Republicans A New Wave Of Voters — Can They Keep Them?

President Trump’s success with former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr., when the Secretary of Health and Human Services expanded Republican tents and folded a new generation of voters.

Health-conscious centres, crunchy hippies and political agnosticists are all part of the Make America Healthy (Maha) movement. They became accidentally strange bed fellows in Trump’s Magazine. Now the ball is in the courts of the GOP and it’s about how to keep them.

Evan Barker, a political strategist who has worked on numerous democratic parliamentary and presidential campaigns, said the party avoided their own voters who are concerned about chronic health issues and vaccines.

“These people were already out of Democrats because they felt they were being disenfranchised for a variety of reasons,” she told the caller.

One such person is Emma Avance. Avans was born from a heart defect. Later in her life, she began to experience a weakness in migraines and seizure symptoms. When the doctor prescribed the medication, Avance, who described himself as a left-leaning libertarian, was skeptical and asked about his more holistic approach.

“He looked at me and said, ‘If you don’t take this, what do you expect me to do about it?” And I was fine, I’ll do it myself. ”

This was when she stumbled on Kennedy Jr. and his bestselling book, The Real Anthony Fauci.

Avans said the national visceral reaction to former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) head Anthony Forsey has intrigued her and guided her on the path to finding Kennedy Jr.

“During the 2020 campaign, I was like OK, and everyone hates this guy, but I really don’t know why. I wasn’t very political back then,” she told the caller.

Avans, who was previously disillusioned with the Republican Party, said Trump wanted to choose Tarsi Gabbard as vice president, and for the first time he felt hopeful about politics.

“It’s like there’s hope when RFK is on the ballot and hosting the Maha movement for the first time. I can’t stand up to a really big pharmaceutical company, so someone is standing up for me. I can’t stand up to the FDA. I can’t read all the research studies,” she said.

Her story is probably for the first time shared by the left player’s scores open to Republican votes. (Related: RFK’s Maha forces descend from left, right and center in the national capital)

Del Big Tree, who served as communications director for Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign, was a lifelong liberal. He is still a registered Democrat. “I’m not just following it,” he told the caller.

The Big Tree grew up in the liberal fortress in Boulder, Colorado in the 60s. “I grew up in what you could probably call the crunchy granola family. My parents were ex-hippies. They literally marched in the ’60s,” he told the caller.

He says Democrats have lost their way.

“We all fostered a new dietary epidemic as vegetarians, or children, vitamins, natural health, and it’s amazing to think that Democrats have just given away the entire group more than Republicans. That’s one of the polar shifts in politics we’ve seen, and I’m sure we’ve seen them in my lifetime.”

Democrats are only half the equation missing. The other requires Republicans to pick up the mantle and fold these voters over the long term. Some are beginning to tackle former left-wing issues, including food safety, water and environmental chemicals, nutrition and diet, and vaccine skepticism.

Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna led the responsibility for trying to limit and label foods containing unhealthy seed oil. “It’s not completely banned,” she previously told daily callers.

Not long ago, it was her “Let’s Move!” initiative. Currently, Republican Sen. Katie Britt of Alabama and Mike Lee of Utah are trying to combat unhealthy lifestyle choices, and recently announced a bill to suspend taxpayer dollars in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Utah Republican-controlled Congress also recently sent a bill to the governor’s desk to ban the use of fluoride in public water systems. This is an issue that Kennedy Jr. personally defended.

“I think it’s amazing that Republicans are currently fighting for organic farming. When you see Thomas Massey, I think when it seemed like he was a Democrat, I was there, he’s fighting for clean food, better farming practices. All of this is now wrapped up in this Maha movement. I think this has certainly made Republicans the strongest party in the country,” Big Tree told the caller.

Big Tree has denounced Democrats’ “significant mistakes” in the vote against Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.

“They’re going to have to live with it. Now Republicans are embracing all of this. Now, they have everything because it’s truly the best of what Democrats have had. It’s free, freedom, sovereignty, individualism, health, protecting children, removing chemicals from food. So why do you go elsewhere?” he asked.

“I think Democrats have struggled for decades and are trying to recover from serious mistakes. This was to fully embrace the pharmaceutical industry, the large AG industry, the large chemical industry, and the food chemicals.”

The Senate has confirmed Kennedy Jr. as HHS secretary (52-48), with Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell being the only Republican vote. It wasn’t a single Democrat voted for him.

“When you look at these Senate hearings, politics proves that it’s actually dirty and disgusting, because you’ve seen Democrats talk about measles 35 times and have not mentioned obesity, chronic illness or diabetes at all.”

Some Democrats, like Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who showed they agreed with Kennedy Jr.’s position on chronic illness and chronic illness against the feed giant, were the most vocal opposed to him during the hearing. One exchange between Sanders and Kennedy Jr. spread when Sanders asked Kennedy about clothing for sale on the Children’s Health Defense website. “Are you supporting these Onesies?!” Sanders cried Kennedy Jr. with a laugh.

Hari attended a hearing with her daughter.I expressed disappointment at Sanders’ focus because I wanted her to see what she needed to stand up to corruption.

“Even Bernie Sanders, which I usually know, is very hip about these food issues. I was really surprised he asked RFK Jr. about those Onesies,” she told the caller.

Founded the Torbani Food Brand, Very popular Social media accounts have supported her career against harmful chemicals and food additives. She believes that the Crusades against chemicals like Azodicarbonamide, as an influenced company like Anheuser-Busch, has more transparency in product labels.

Like Big Tree, she noted that Democrats immediately rejected Kennedy Jr. and his ideas was a major mistake.

“THey, there’s no clear leader to help change the health trajectory of Americans,” she said. “It’s a huge missed opportunity because a lot of people like me want to come to this from a bipartisan perspective, so I don’t want to make it about politics, that’s because I want to make it about human health. You know, when a child is diagnosed with ADHD, they don’t know you’re a Democrat or a Republican.”

While there are reasons to believe that the Maha Coalition is broad and can bring lasting growth to the Republican Party, Barker noted that whether new people are around or not belong to RFK Jr.

“It depends on the amount that RFK Jr. can actually accomplish as an HHS,” she told the caller. “She pointed out that there may be friction between the Maha movement and House Republicans who may support Medicaid cuts.

“I think Trump should reject these proposals from the old-fashioned GOP factions in the House to preserve independents and disgruntled Democrats under the big GOP tent,” concluded Barker.

And it remains to be seen whether the Maha movement is interested in sticking to Republicans when RFK is off the picture, or whether his loyalty is tied to where his loyalty is.

But others argued that the movement could remain here.

“This has brought about a whole new wave of people engaged in politics. It’s a victory for democracy. It’s really good regardless of party,” Maha Action spokesperson Emma Post told the caller.

There are many possibilities and opportunities in this fresh wave.

However, the Post noted that this movement must be based on the issue.

“It shows you the power of people to converge around the problem centered on. And I think it has a lasting power,” she concluded.

While expressing disillusionment with the party earlier, Avans appears to have changed her song.

“I think it’s a different Republican party than I did in the middle of 2022. The Republicans I saw are very different from the Republicans I see now.”

Avans pointed to a reorganization of the party, claiming that the Maha Union had completely changed the GOP.

“It all changed when I realized, ‘Yeah, it’s not Republicans and Democrats, it’s elites and everyone.” “They run these huge insurance companies and own these big pharma companies, are people who don’t even know that I exist. It’s all in bed together,” she continued.

“So I think I like RFK because he handles both the old Democrats who loved Kennedy and JFK, and the new Republicans who say they don’t care much about their history and whether you’re gay or not. I’m very excited.”
