ROOKE: Kamala Failed To Hide Her Biggest Election Weakness From Voters

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has had a consistent theme, like a ship's anchor, that if she can't break free from it, she will likely lose the election in November.

If voters took anything from Harris' CNN interview, it was her lack of compassion. Whether she was talking about the economic plight of the middle class or the failure of foreign policy, her inability to connect with people on a human level — one of the most important elements of running for president — was clear.

The No. 1 issue people tell me about is the economy and how it affects their daily lives, especially mothers. Healthy foods like butter, whole milk, eggs, and quality protein are significantly more expensive than they were three years ago. It's hard for families to escape the weight of inflation. Luke: Kamala's campaign crossed a line and now she's paying the price.

Some polls suggest a significant shift is occurring among traditionally Democratic voters, including black men who are feeling the pain of the Biden-Harris administration's economic policies. Former CNN host Don Lemon surprised MSNBC's Jen Psaki by saying a large number of black male voters are citing the poor economy as the reason they plan to vote for former President Donald Trump in November's presidential election.

Harris told the nation on CNN that she would protect, uplift and repair the middle class, but her sentiments show no understanding of how much they are suffering and reveal her lack of compassion for these people. It is vital for voters to know that their leaders understand their plight and are willing to fight for them. Harris has failed to show that understanding and is trying to lead voters to believe that there is nothing she can do to improve the situation anytime soon, even though she is now Vice President. How liberal pollsters are recreating the 2016 wave of silent Trump supporters

Her lack of compassion only reinforces to voters that she made a mistake once and will make it again.

Similarly, Harris is trying to find a political angle on the Gaza war, where Hamas has been holding American citizens captive for nearly a year. After news broke that terrorists had killed six hostages, one of them an American, Harris tweeted a statement asserting that she and Biden were working tirelessly to help the hostages.

However, when she had the opportunity to speak to reporters, she ran past them. Though she had wired headphones on, she held the phone to her ear as she walked up the stairs to the plane, seemingly pretending to be on the phone. The biggest example of her lack of strength and compassion was her choice to ignore the reporters, knowing that their questions were about the hostages and the Biden-Harris Administration's failure to help them.

She ignores the media, which is almost entirely on her side, because she is more interested in avoiding upsetting anti-Israel supporters in battleground states on camera than she is in taking a stand against the captors who are holding the American people hostage. Is winning Michigan's electoral votes really more important to her than saving the American people? Because that's how it appears to voters. Luke: The moment the Kennedy campaign realized Trump was right about everything.

Unlike Trump, who has an uncanny ability to connect with the middle class and blue-collar workers, Harris appears cold and unloving. She has never had to worry about providing for her family or fighting authoritarianism. Her inability to express this natural human emotion is obvious to voters looking for hope at the end of these three years of hardship. Having her surrogates (Governors Tim Walz, Gretchen Whitmer, etc.) will not be enough. Unless Harris conveys that compassion, voters will continue to flock to Trump.
