ROOKE: Looks Like Trump Has Plans To Flip The Script On Kamala’s Big Week

As the countdown to November 5th rapidly approaches, both candidates are vying to maintain top spot in the narrative race.

That's going to be tough for former President Donald Trump, with Vice President Kamala Harris getting all the favorable media coverage at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week. Still, Trump is reportedly planning to end the week in the spotlight, which would be great if that's true.

Reports Circulated On Wednesday, it was announced that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing Mr. Trump. Shortly after the rumors spread, Kennedy release President Trump released a statement on his presidential website announcing that he would address the nation in a livestreamed press conference on Friday to discuss “our current historic moment and the way forward.”

Trump and Kennedy will be in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday. Nothing will erase from Americans' memories the speeches and momentum of the past five days at the Democratic National Convention more than the prospect of the former Democratic presidential candidate, now running as the most likely third-party candidate in history, dropping out to endorse the Republican Party. (Taxpayer-funded group offers $30,000 to new homebuyers — but only if they're not U.S. citizens)

Kennedy is a lifelong Democrat, so he has a unique perspective on the Democratic Party. He initially ran in the primaries against President Joe Biden, but members of his own party opposed him in an attempt to prevent him from winning (Biden even refused Secret Service protection). Luke: Despite the manufactured hype, the Kamala train has derailed.

When Kennedy withdrew from the primary and ran as an independent, he was receiving roughly equal numbers of votes from Democrats and Republicans in the polls. But now that Biden has dropped out and Harris is the Democratic candidate, Kennedy is siphoning more support from Trump than from Harris. If Kennedy withdraws and supports Kennedy, Trump will have an advantage in the polls and be able to control public opinion.

If Kennedy stood on stage with Trump in Arizona on Friday and told Americans to vote for the man the establishment hates, the man everyone says will end our democracy, it would be too big a moment for Harris' followers in the establishment media to ignore. They would have to cover it. No one would talk about the DNC. The nation would be focused on Trump and Kennedy. Harris would be the icing on the cake of the biggest week of her political career.

Whenever Trump finds himself on the brink of defeat, he immediately stands up and shouts, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
