The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has announced the identity of the suspect wanted in connection with Tubac's murder.
Police found the victim on January 28th while responding to a report of blood on the street near 146 Bridge Road in Tubac, Arizona. The victim, Adrian Lopez, 28, was found dead with multiple stab wounds and cuts, according to a media release from the sheriff's office.
Police have identified Jorge Quijada, 32, as a person of interest. His height is listed as 5 feet 9 inches and weight 160 pounds. Authorities are asking anyone who sees Ouijada not to approach him and to call emergency services.
Chief Gerardo Castillo said Wijada is from Santa Cruz County and that this type of violence is unusual in the rural county.
“This type of incident is an isolated incident and rarely occurs within our community,” Castillo said.
