As college athletics continues to evolve and change, elected officials are increasingly interested in regulating name, image, and likeness (NIL) for a positive future.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) will host a bipartisan roundtable featuring some of the biggest names in college sports.
2023, Cruise drafted This legislation is intended to provide legal certainty for college athletes, prohibit restrictions on student-athletes' NIL rights, and create uniform national standards for NIL contracts.

Nick Saban and Greg Byrne are also scheduled to attend the event.
After retiring, Saban said he plans to spend his time improving the state of college sports. He has openly expressed his concern that the sports world is not in a good place and said he will do his best to find a solution.
Meanwhile, Byrne has become one of the faces of college football, and his vocal influence will undoubtedly help shape the game for years to come.

The roundtable will be held on Tuesday, March 12th.
