Hamas announced on Wednesday that the terror group's senior police officer Majidi Abdel-Al was killed in a suspected airstrike on his car, The Times of Israel reported.
The alleged airstrike targeted Abdel Al's car in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, hitting it directly. Video from the allegedly damaged car showed the crowd pouring water on the wreckage to extinguish the fire.

The image purported to be of Abdel Al was shared on Twitter by Joe Turzman, a senior analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, which specializes in Palestinian armed groups.

Turzman also shared another video on Twitter claiming that “IDF carried out a targeted attack on vehicles in Rafah Governorate.”

The video showed a crowd surrounding the still smoking wreckage of a car and people carrying large white bags into an ambulance.
The Israel Defense Forces have not yet officially confirmed the allegations or commented on the development.
