Alabama's two U.S. senators traveled to Montgomery today, stopping at the Alabama State Capitol on the way to meet with state legislators for the second week of the 2024 legislative session.

Sen. Tuberville (R-Auburn) visited the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce early Thursday morning and then met with Alabama House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter.
“Senators Tuberville and Britt are two remarkable leaders in Alabama and I am proud to call them friends,” said House Speaker Ledbetter (R-Rainsville).
“During their visit, we discussed some of the issues we are working on during Congress and the work they do every day in Washington, D.C., to support our efforts. We are fortunate to have such a strong presence in the United States Senate.”
Senators Tuberville and Britt spoke at the House Republican Caucus luncheon. Sen. Britt (R-Montgomery) met with state Senate leaders, including Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth and Sen. Pro Tem Greg Reed.
“Alabama is incredibly blessed with two talented, capable, and hard-working U.S. senators,” said Sen. Reed (R-Jasper). “Senator Britt and Coach Tuberville are doing a great job representing our state, and we welcome them to the State Capitol today to report on all the great work we are doing to help the state of Alabama. I’m very excited about what we can do.”

“I am extremely proud of the work Sen. Britt is doing in Washington, D.C.” said Lieutenant Governor Ainsworth.
“She represents every well in Alabama. She fought hard for our conservative values and brought common sense reforms to the bureaucracy in Washington, D.C. , has benefited from her extensive working knowledge of the U.S. Senate and intends to do so for decades to come.”
Wednesday is the fifth day of the 2024 Alabama legislative session.
