Sex Offender Registry Update for Yavapai County Residents | Prescott Valley Times local news

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is required to publicly disclose the following information pursuant to Sex Offender Act Community Notice ARS 13-3825. The publication says the perpetrator plans to live in an unincorporated area of ​​Yavapai County. Notifying the community is the responsibility of the Chief Law Enforcement Office, which has jurisdiction over the area where the offender resides. Notification must be given when certain sex offenders are released from an Arizona prison, accepted under an interstate compact, or released from a county jail and returned to society. Offenders are classified into three levels: Level 1 (low risk to the community), Level 2 (medium risk to the community), and Level 3 (high risk to the community).

The person mentioned in the notice, 35-year-old Robert Curry, has been convicted of a sex crime and is eligible for community notification. The sex offender notified the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office that he planned to reside at 322 E Quail Rd Lot B, Paulden, AZ 86334. This person is not wanted by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at this time.

On June 6, 2014, a 24-year-old felon was convicted in Yavapai County of three counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of assault. One count of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual abuse of a child. The offender was sentenced to 11 years in prison and lifetime probation in the Arizona Department of Corrections. The victims were three female minors, ages 14, 15, and 17, who were acquainted with the perpetrator.

This notice is not intended to increase fear. Rather, it is the Sheriff’s Office’s belief that an informed community is a safer community. It is unacceptable for citizens to misuse this information to intimidate, intimidate, or harass sex offenders.
