‘She Did So Well’: Nikki Haley Supporters Remain Optimistic Despite Loss To Trump In New Hampshire

Concord, New Hampshire — Despite losing to former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night, supporters of former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley's 2024 candidacy remained optimistic about her future in the race.

Now, I have news for them all — New Hampshire is first in the nation, but , not the last in the nation,” Haley said. “This race isn't over yet. There are still dozens of states left. Lester C. Reed Sr., a former truck driver and independent entrepreneur from Plaistow, told DCNF he was “surprised” that Haley lost.

“I knew that even if she lost, she wasn't going to quit. She's going to go out there, she's going to fight. And that's what I liked about her – she's a fighter and someone who doesn't give up. And she's going to make this America great one day,” said Reed, who voted Democratic for the past two terms.

NBC News exit poll found Haley received 61% and 84% support from independents and Democrats, respectively. The former ambassador received just 25% approval among self-identified Republicans, compared to 74% for President Trump.

In Nevada, the state primary will be held on February 6th, and the party caucuses will be held on February 8th. The South Carolina primary will be held on February 24th, and Ms. Haley has a 30.2 point lead over Mr. Trump in RCP. average.
