Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California on Monday argued that former President Donald Trump is the same criminals that Vice President Kamala Harris “arrested” when she was a prosecutor.

“Donald Trump goes around saying he's going to easily beat Kamala Harris,” Swalwell told “CNN News Central” co-host John Berman. “She's heard the same thing from other sex offenders and rapists during her time as attorney Harris. If you want to know how this movie ends, you don't have to look far. But you're going to have to go to prison to find out, because she's put a lot of bad guys in jail and she's ready to take on the next case for the country.”
Trump was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records on May 30. A Manhattan jury found him liable for sexual assault and defamation in a May 2023 lawsuit filed by author E. Jean Carroll.
Prior to being elected to the U.S. Senate, Harris served as San Francisco's district attorney and California's attorney general. according to to her White House biography.
