Shooting Suspect Reportedly Wrote Note Referencing Epstein and Threatening Trump Officials

Shooting Incident at Sacramento ABC Station

A 63-year-old man from Sacramento, Anibal Hernandez Santana, has been arrested following a shooting incident at the ABC affiliate KXTV. Reports indicate that he referenced Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile, in relation to his actions, and allegedly labeled the heads of the FBI and Department of Justice as “Next.”

Authorities detained Hernandez Santana on Friday after police responded to reports of gunfire at the station. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California mentioned that they found handwritten notes in the suspect’s vehicle, where he accused the FBI and DOJ of “hiding” Epstein and “ignoring red flags.”

Interestingly, a weekly planner attached to his refrigerator contained a note stating, “I’ll do the next scary thing,” alongside another note commenting on the lack of action surrounding Epstein. Around 1:30 PM local time, he allegedly fired between one and three shots while near the station.

According to officials, Hernandez Santana first discharged a round into the air from the sidewalk before getting into his vehicle, driving towards the building, and firing again into the lobby. Thankfully, none of the employees at KXTV/ABC 10 were injured during the incident.

Initially arrested by local police, Hernandez Santana was released on bail the following day but was taken back into custody by federal agents shortly thereafter.

This shooting came amid growing protests aimed at Disney and ABC, following the network’s recent suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

Hernandez Santana now faces federal charges for possessing a firearm in a school zone, firing a weapon in the same area, and for obstructing broadcast communications.

FBI Director Kash Patel commented on the suspect’s detention, stating that “targeted violence is unacceptable” and will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law. If convicted, Hernandez Santana could face up to five years in prison for the firearm charge and a $250,000 fine for obstructing communications.
