At the regular Board of Supervisors meeting on March 15, 2023, Yavapai County Elections Commissioner Lauryn Custis submitted to the Board pursuant to ARS §16-411, requesting approval to take action regarding the number, size, and boundaries of Yavapai County electoral districts.

Mrs Custis said, “We recommend that districts with more than 3,500 valid registered voters for any one party within a constituency be divided to minimize the number of ballot formats. I will.”

Supervisor Mallory said, “Thank you for working with all the political parties, Republicans, Democrats, Independents and Liberals. We are a community and we have to work together as such. This does not affect the number of Vote Centers in Yavapai County, it is simply to control the size of the precincts, some of which exceed 5,000.”

The Board unanimously decided to approve this action.
