CIA Officer’s Controversial Comments on Trump
A CIA officer, Susan Miller, who played a role in the 2016 U.S. Intelligence Community Assessment regarding alleged Russian election interference, has a track record of making social media comments that criticize former President Donald Trump, labeling him a “dictator.”
Recent reports have highlighted Miller’s involvement in the 2016 ICA, which was released under CIA Director John Ratcliffe. It’s noted that she claimed to have led part of the research team responsible for the assessment. Notably, Miller criticized the FBI’s decision to dismantle its investigative team, referring to it as “awful” and suggesting it further illustrated her view of Trump as a dictator.
In another LinkedIn post, she expressed agreement with a statement comparing Trump to dictators throughout history, indicating a “dictator’s desire” reflected in his actions and behavior towards others. She even made a connection to Adolf Hitler, suggesting that the analogy was not lost on her and her peers.
In addition, she commented on the firing of a top CIA doctor, condemning what she saw as threats to individuals perceived as political extremists. Miller expressed sadness over the response from some factions, highlighting concerns about the general treatment of those opposing Trump and Elon Musk’s administration.
Her remarks indicate she was not a supporter of Trump, aligning with commentary that characterized him as seeking to “dominate the world.” During a recent interview, Miller claimed she once identified as a pro-Trump individual, asserting that she was a Republican voter prior to her evolving views.
Interestingly, during discussions about her role in the 2016 research, Miller stated that her team approached the investigation with an open mind. They found indications that Russia favored Trump but did not have evidence proving he intentionally collaborated with the Kremlin. She revealed that unverified documents were included in the final report due to FBI requirements, yet she voiced frustration over the lack of time to scrutinize these documents fully before publication.
When pressed if she believed Trump was a Kremlin asset, Miller acknowledged having seen some information but was uncertain of its validity. Overall, her mixed views reflect a complex journey through her experiences in intelligence, leaving some questions unanswered.
