Vivian Kubrick, the daughter of the late Hollywood legend Stanley Kubrick, came under fire after former President Donald Trump used footage from her father’s Vietnam War classic Full Metal Jacket in a campaign ad. Now she has a message for her haters.

Who knew the Kubrick family was so grounded?
President Trump has used footage from notoriously brutal war movies to juxtapose his own tough, masculine military ideals with the drag queen stormtroopers of “Comrade Kamala.” Liberals put limits on thinking slam President Trump accused the film of misinterpreting its anti-war message and twisting it to serve his own nefarious purposes. She acknowledged that the anti-war message was seemingly “contradictory” with “a tough military that hasn’t woken up,” but noted that we live in “very dangerous and strange times.” do.

Although Mr. Kubrick stops short of directly supporting President Trump, he appropriately balances out the supposed discomfort. “We need to get back to America’s anti-war spirit, and part of being anti-war means having a strong military to stop nefarious forces from picking a fight.” We cannot afford to cling to the same, increasingly gay status quo.
