Support for Alabama Senate Candidate Steve Marshall
As Alabama prepares for the upcoming election for one of its U.S. Senate seats, a significant alliance has formed behind one of the main candidates. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall shared on Monday that he has garnered endorsements from 27 sheriffs and 23 district attorneys across 33 counties in the state.
Marshall stated, “The dedicated individuals serving in law enforcement and prosecuting violent criminals are worthy of our unwavering support. During my time as Attorney General, I’ve collaborated closely with state law enforcement to ensure public safety. Those who protect our neighborhoods know I’ll be a steadfast ally in the Senate.”
Law enforcement leaders praised Marshall for his experience in Montgomery and his steadfast commitment to supporting officers statewide. Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner, a seasoned law enforcement officer with 33 years of experience, remarked, “We know Attorney General Steve Marshall has always been there for us. He’ll be a powerful advocate for law and order in the Senate, and I’m proud to support him.”
Chris Connolly, District Attorney for Lauderdale County, expressed confidence that Marshall will be a strong representative for Alabamian ideals. “I’m excited to back Steve for the Senate. He’s been an exceptional partner in law enforcement, and there’s no doubt he’ll champion our values in Washington.”
Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum highlighted Marshall’s sustained support for rural areas. “Steve Marshall stands shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement,” Bynum shared. “He understands the specific challenges our small towns face and will fiercely advocate for all Alabama residents. That’s why I’m backing him for Senate.”

Marshall jumped into the Senate race in late May, soon after U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville announced his intent to run for governor. Within the first month of campaigning, he reportedly raised over $400,000 in contributions.
The primary for the Senate seat is set for May 19th.
