A town hall was held at City Hall with Arizona’s public education supervisors.
Superintendent Tom Horn first met with local educators, teachers and parents.
Hold round-table discussions and obtain various opinions on local education.
Horne said he’s looking to improve student test scores and have school resource officers in every public school.
Although this was the first visit to Yuma since taking office in January, Horn has visited Yuma many times.
He served as state superintendent of education from 2003 to 2011.

“All class time is precious. You need to focus on your studies and remove distractions,” Horne says.
Horn will stay in Yuma and tour San Luis High School on Thursday.
