According to EW, Basil is the first contestant to have appeared on both “Jeopardy!” and “Survivor.” As of Tuesday, Basil had won a total of $91,283 on the quiz shows, with the chance to win even more cash.
Basil reportedly called himself one of the smartest people to have ever competed on the reality TV show “Survivor,” in which a group of people are tasked with completing tasks while adapting to an isolated location. The goal is to “outwit, outwit, and be the last one standing, ultimately earning the title of Sole Survivor.” according to CBS.

“I recently had the opportunity to appear on Survivor,” Basil reportedly told “Jeopardy” host Ken Jennings during his first appearance on the show, “where I endured 23 of the 26 days with no clothes, no shelter and no food. [It] It's affected my head a little bit, but I'm hoping I'll be good again on Jeopardy.”
According to EW, Basil got 121 questions right during his five-game winning streak.
