SAFORD — Karin Taylor-Robson, who is battling Kari Lake to win the Republican gubernatorial nomination, stopped campaigning in Gila Valley on Thursday and told Republican loyalists in a Kempton Chevrolet .

“Would you have imagined how far this country has come in less than two years or two? No one could have predicted this, at least not me. ), that’s why I’m running,” she said.

She describes herself as “an inexcusable conservative, and has always been. I believe our rights come from God, not government. I believe in limited government. I believe in life. I believe in the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, I believe in them all, but I have four favorites: the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, the Fifth Amendment, the Article 10.

She said Arizona isn’t suffering from a border crisis, but rather a “border war.”

“We now have people from over 140 countries, 17 of which are on the list of countries of special interest. So yes, this is a national security crisis,” Robson said.

Borders are a priority, she said, but education is her passion. Teachers’ salaries should be improved, parents should be held accountable for their education, and taxes should be allocated to children, she said, Robson said.

On water issues, Robson said it’s time for states to consider new technologies.

“Desalting, you hear about it a lot now,” she said. “I also have cloud seeding in my water plan.”

Robson concluded: . . Arizona is at the forefront of the battle for the soul of the nation, both literally and figuratively. “

The primary election was held on August 2nd, and early voting is now open.
