phoenix – The Land Management Department’s Hassayampa Field Office will temporarily close several public lands in Maricopa County for off-highway vehicle racing for the upcoming Vulture Mine Off-Road Challenge. The closure will take place from Friday, November 4, 2022 through Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Public safety is BLM’s top priority and the temporary closure of the Vulture Mine Off-Road Challenge is to ensure the safety of the public and race participants. All public land located inside the race course, as well as the race course itself, are temporarily off-limits unless otherwise specified. Maps and information regarding the designated race course and impacted closed areas are available at the Hassayanpa Field Office at 2020 E. Bell Road in Phoenix.
