‘Thank God He’s In The White House’: Freed Hostage Praises Trump Upon Returning Home After Years In Captivity

Airline mechanic George Grezman was held hostage by the Taliban and praised President Donald Trump on Friday when he returned from two and a half years of confinement.

The US State Department secured Grezmann’s release in Qatar on Thursday through negotiations with the Taliban. His family appealed to former President Joe Biden’s administration for years to free him. The current hostages, which were held hostage during a visit to Afghanistan in December 2022, praised Trump for his freedom.

“I feel like I’m reborn. I’m in debt with the president. President Trump is amazing. I’m grateful to God in the White House where he left me,” Grezman said. “Marco Rubio, Mike Waltz, Adam Berler. I’m in debt with everyone involved in this situation because they took me home. Free American individuals. Grezman’s wife, Alexandra, pleaded with Biden to take action on her husband’s behalf in July. According to Go to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Secretary of State Marco Rubio I said On Thursday, the administration accidentally detained all Americans overseas in order to “continue to work tirelessly.”

“George’s release is a positive and constructive step,” Rubio said. “It also reminds us that other Americans are still in detention in Afghanistan. President Trump will continue his tireless work to free all Americans who are unfairly detained around the world.”

Two other American hostages, Ryan Corbett and William McEntire, were released on January 20th on Trump’s inauguration night.

The Taliban ruled Afghanistan in August 2021 after the US withdraws from the state under the Biden administration. During the retreat, 13 American soldiers were killed in bombing the gates of a monastery near Kabul Airport.

The Trump administration has also negotiated the release of Mark Vogel, who has been detained in Russia for owning medical marijuana at the airport since 2021.
