“That’s Your Person”: Watters and Tarlov Disagree on ICE Deportations

Confusion Over Immigration Deportations

On Tuesday, a debate erupted on Fox’s show featuring Jesse Watters and Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov about the deportation of illegal immigrants. Despite public support for President Donald Trump’s stricter immigration policies, Democrats continue to resist such measures and advocate for individuals like Kilmer Armando Abrego Garcia.

Watters expressed his frustration, saying, “I’m tired of having to deal with all these specific individuals,” and insisted that deportations should be expedited. He emphasized that the process hasn’t been efficient enough, claiming, “They should go out faster. They didn’t deport one American citizen.” He challenged Tarlov, suggesting that the administration’s efforts were far from enough.

Tarlov attempted to address Watters’ comments but was interrupted, leading to a somewhat tense exchange. She pointed out other cases that Watters had mentioned, prompting him to admonish her against calling him a “gay hairdresser,” asserting that he had never heard of that individual.

The discussion then shifted to the deportation of Andry Hernández Romero, a 32-year-old Venezuelan makeup artist who faced horrific experiences while incarcerated in El Salvador. Reports indicate that he was sent back to a prison where he suffered abuse. His asylum case had been dismissed earlier this year, exacerbating concerns over the treatment of migrants.

Watters further questioned the credibility of Tarlov’s claims, referencing the legal status of immigrants and their implications. Tarlov, on her part, denied speaking on Abrego Garcia’s behalf and accused Watters of misrepresenting her views.

The conversation eventually delved into statistics about illegal immigrants with criminal records, resulting in a more heated debate until Greg Gutfeld called for a break.

This issue has drawn significant attention, especially with ongoing discussions surrounding Abrego Garcia’s deportation. Following his initial deportation in March, Democrats, including Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, showed their support, highlighting the complexities of immigration law. In a recent legal twist, a U.S. District Judge ordered that Abrego Garcia remain in custody until further hearings, while the administration indicated plans to send him to Africa.
