Radio host Charlamagne Tha God said on Friday that Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer and House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries should “resign” following the former move to support a GOP-backed government fundraising bill.
The law passed by the House on Tuesday would fund government activities until the end of September. Schumer, who previously opposed the bill, informed him late Thursday that he would support the allegation moving forward.
Charlamane, onBreakfast Club“Schumer, who supports the passage of the bill, said it highlights the failure of Democratic leadership after it opposed. (Related: Fiscal Hawks Warning GOP Expenditure Plans must reject “budget gimmicks.”

“The Democrats, a party of normal inaction, have failed to protect the interests of the American people. And do you know why Dem sucks messaging? Because they don’t say anything, they don’t do anything,” Charlamane said. “So what do you guess? For me, they all have to go. For example, Dems have not only messaging issues, they have leadership issues. Chuck Schumer of the world, Hakem Jeffries – they should all resign.”
“And anyone who’s fighting for people and not standing with the party should be primers. What would the bill smoke, for example? He continued. “For example, you’re not trying to present anything different. Wouldn’t you try to negotiate? “It sucks, but you’re going to give it anyway.”
The government is expected to partially close after midnight on Friday, unless the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster joins Republicans with eight or more Democrats and advances the six-month suspension spending bill known as the Continuing Resolution (CR). It is expected that enough democratic senators will join Schumer and take part in the progress of the bill.
“The CR bill is very bad, but the possibility of closure affects America much worse,” Schumer said Thursday. “Mr. President, I think it’s my job to make the best choice for the country to minimize harm to Americans. So I’ll vote to keep the government open and not close it.”
“The shutdown will be a costly distraction from this very important battle [against President Donald Trump]He added.
Charlamagne also awarded SchumerDonkey of the dayDuring the Thursday segment of “The Breakfast Club.”
“Everyone is politics, so one party – Republicans – is about action, and the other party – Democrats aren’t,” he said in the segment. “So, for what reason do I have to continue supporting the party of inaction? That story won’t change for Democrats until the people of Democrats change.”
