Tommy Tuberville and GOP senators had their phones monitored by the Biden administration.

During a briefing at Capitol Hill, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville revealed that he is part of a group of Republican senators whose phone activities were tracked in a Biden administration investigation by the Justice Department.

Records analyzed by the FBI indicate that the team led by former special advisor Jack Smith monitored the private communications of nearly a dozen GOP lawmakers.

“This is the first we’ve heard of it. We assumed any spying would come from countries like China or North Korea, not from our own government,” Tuberville, a Republican from Auburn, mentioned in an interview with Larry Kudlow on Fox Business.

“This isn’t just about Donald Trump for me; I’m a supporter of him. I care deeply about this country. It feels like the Biden administration is trying to undermine it,” he continued.

“This is just outrageous. They informed us that our phone records were compromised, but we have no clarity on whether any actual content was accessed. The investigation is just getting underway,” he added.

An FBI document from September 2023 mentions that Smith’s team had “conducted a preliminary toll analysis” on the phone numbers associated with Republican senators.

The list comprised senators like Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), Josh Hawley (R-Missouri), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming), Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee), and Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska).

In another discussion with Steve Bannon, Tuberville referred to the Biden administration’s actions as “shocking.”
