The top Democrat on the House Chinese Communist Party Committee on Monday denied that senior Democratic officials are being specifically targeted by Chinese influence operations in the United States.

“I actually think the United Front is targeting everyone. They're not necessarily targeting any particular political party,” Krishnamoorthi said in response to a question from the Daily Caller News Foundation. he said. “Where you see united front activity…which is very intuitive, is at the most local level where they are bipartisan. “[Y]We see united front activity as a kind of comfort to other individuals that we see as rising in state and local politics. Overall, the United Front is a very dark group and I think everyone needs to be on guard about this,” Krishnamoorthi said, adding that his party is the specific target of some kind of influence operation. After denying it, he said:

These officials include Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and Democratic Representatives Judy Chu of California and Grace Meng of New York, who have been named special presidential envoys for climate change.
