Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday accused the Biden administration of condoning “inappropriate behavior” by a transgender influencer who went topless at last weekend’s White House Pride event.
At a press conference on Thursday, Mr. DeSantis denounced the Biden administration’s decision to host a pride party and raise the pride flag next to the American flag. He also called the transgender influencer’s topless behavior on the south lawn of the White House “totally inappropriate” and warned that this kind of LGBTQ behavior is being taught in the classroom.(Related: Following DeSantis’ lead, states move to crack down on gender ideology in the classroom)
The White House on Tuesday condemned transgender influencer Rose Montoya for stripping her shirt off on the White House lawn and exposing her fake breasts in front of crowds and cameras.
“They prioritized this transgender flag over the American flag in the White House, and that’s wrong,” he said. DeSantis. “That’s not the way to hang the American flag.”
“I think it’s completely inappropriate when there’s something inappropriate in the White House, like transgender people exposing people’s nudity. I think I had to admit that.”
“But I ask them: If it’s inappropriate to do it in the White House, which I certainly do, why would you want to cram that curriculum into a sophomore classroom?” DeSantis continued, drawing applause from the crowd.

DeSantis has been criticized by Democrats for signing a Florida bill banning certain LGBTQ curriculum in K-12 classrooms. Opponents mentioned law as a “don’t say gay bill”, even though those words don’t appear anywhere in the text of the bill.
