A traffic stop for speeding resulted in a major drug seizure in Fort Mojave. Fromert said a Mohave County Sheriff's K-9 alerted him to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle.
“Officers located two baggies containing drug paraphernalia and a large quantity of methamphetamine inside the vehicle,” Fromert said. Baxter also had methamphetamine in his pants pocket. ”
MAGNET detectives from the Bullhead City Police Department were called to the scene to assist in the drug investigation.
“Approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle,” Fromert said. “MAGNET executed a narcotics search warrant at the Baxter residence in the 1300 block of Lincoln Lane, where they located additional drug paraphernalia and approximately an ounce of methamphetamine.”
Baxter was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman on a charge of transporting a dangerous drug for sale.
