Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard announced the release of the assassination file of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) on Friday.
“Nearly sixty years after the tragic assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, the first Americans will have the opportunity to consider a federal investigation thanks to President Trump’s guidance,” Gabbard said in a press release.
More than 10,000 pages of previously classified documents were uploaded to the National Archives on Friday morning.

“A further 50,000 pages of RFK assassination files were discovered during the process of searching the FBI and CIA warehouse for records that had not been handed over to the National Archives,” the press added.
RFK was assassinated by Palestinian refugee Silhan Silhan of Reuters It has been reported.
The former senator was shot dead shortly after winning the 1968 Democratic presidential primary and died the following day, the outlet said.
“Lifting the veil with RFK paper is a necessary step to restoring confidence in the US government,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr., secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and son of RFK, said in a press release. “I praise President Trump for his courage and commitment to transparency. I also thank Tarsi Gabbard for her efforts to eradicate and declassify these documents.”
This document comes in the wake of the release of former President John F. Kennedy (JFK) assassination records. In March, almost 80,000 pages were published by the National Archives.
According to Gabbard, the assassination file of Pastor Martin Luther King Jr. is also expected to be released soon.

“I worked around the clock with over 100 people scanning paper 24 hours a day… [Sen. RFK’s] Just like assassination [MLK’s] Assassination,” Gabbard told Trump at the Cabinet meeting. “These were sitting in boxes that have been stored for decades. They’ve never scanned or seen before, ready to be released in the next few days.” (Related: JFK File reveals new depths of CIA incompetence)
During the meeting, Trump asked RFK Jr. how he felt about the release.
“I am very grateful to the President,” replied RFK Jr.
The publication follows Trump’s January executive order directing the DNI and the Attorney General to present plans to release JFK, RFK and MLK files.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has yet to fully release the Jeffrey Epstein Files Friday morning.
