Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday that his campaign has raised about $140 million heading into July.
In its July fundraising update, the Trump campaign announced that it had raised a total of $138.7 million, bringing its cash on hand to $327 million. The new figures came after Trump was endorsed as the Republican presidential nominee by the Republican National Committee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and especially after the assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. The Trump campaign's fundraising announcement marks a significant increase from the nearly $112 million it raised in June. according to To Politico.
After a Manhattan jury convicted the former president on May 30, Trump raised a total of $54.8 million within 24 hours of the verdict, according to an online post by the group.
According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings in May, Trump outraised Democratic front-runner Biden, raising $141 million between him and the Republican National Committee that month, compared with just $85 million raised by then-President Joe Biden's campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
According to Politico, Vice President Biden's campaign has reportedly raised an estimated $200 million since Harris was endorsed after Biden ended his reelection effort on July 21, although official figures have yet to be submitted.
Before Biden dropped out of the 2024 race, his campaign had an estimated $240 million in funding, according to Politico. Harris is now reportedly controlling a portion of that fund, estimated to be around $95 million by the end of June. report.
