The Trump administration is chasing away the days of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a massive new health committee, according to a White House press release on Thursday evening.
Just hours after the Senate confirmed Kennedy Jr. as the next HHS secretary, the White House announcement American Health Commission.
The committee is a vast new initiative, dealing with the American chronic disease epidemic and ending pediatric chronic diseases.
“The average life expectancy in the United States is far behind other developed countries, with the average life expectancy in the United States prior to COVID-19 average of 78. 8 years, and the equivalent is 82. 6 years. This is the average life expectancy in the United States. It amounts to 1.25 billion less life expectancy,” the press release read. The release points out that six out of 10 Americans have at least one chronic illness, and four out of 10 have at least two chronic illnesses.

The announcement highlighted changing the way Americans see their health. “This includes nutrition, physical activity, healthy lifestyle, excessive reliance on drugs and treatments, the effects of new technical habits, environmental impacts, and fresh thinking about food and drug quality and safety. “It’s gonna be done,” read the release. The vast committee will be chaired by Kennedy Jr. as HHS secretary and co-chaired by the president’s assistant for domestic policy. Other members of the committee include education secretary, agriculture secretary, FDA committee members, at least 10 other cabinet members and senior officials.

According to readouts, the committee’s first mission is to study and fight on pediatric illness. Within 100 days, the committee will present Trump with a report on best practices to prevent childhood health issues.
The Sweep Committee follows the turbulent Senate confirmation process for Kennedy Jr., whom Trump awarded the HHS appointment after Kennedy removed his emerging independent president’s bid to support Trump. The language of the press release was present in many of Kennedy’s key campaign catchphrases and platforms.
