President Donald Trump threatened Russia on Friday with sanctions and widespread tariffs if Kremlin forces continue to attack Ukraine.
Trump I said Truth Social Friday he said he is “strongly considering” various tariffs and sanctions against Russia if a ceasefire with Ukraine and a final peace agreement are not reached. The war was furious for three years, spending more than $170 billion in aid to Ukraine in the United States, killing tens of thousands of lives.
“Currently, based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘hilariously ‘hilarious’ on the battlefield, I am strongly considering tariffs, tariffs on Russia until a major bank sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia and a final settlement agreement on peace,” Trump said in his post. “I’ll go to Russia and Ukraine to the table right now before it’s too late. Thank you!!!” (Related: Vance shows how Zelensky can save our relationship with us in his first interview since the elliptical office exploded.)
