The words “I Hated America Again” were carved into the bottom of the tombstone. A photo of Mr. Whiteley’s work lists Mr. Trump’s birth year, 1946, but does not indicate the year of his death.
Celebrating leftists danced at President Trump’s tombstone, the artist told the outlet.
“There were very happy people, celebratory people,” Whiteley said. “People were just celebrating, shouting yes, yes, yes, dancing, taking pictures of several groups at a time with the tombstones.”
Trump’s headstone was made of Vermont granite and placed next to a heart-shaped flower in the colors of the American flag, according to images.
The newspaper said it was originally produced in May 2016, when Trump was first running for president, and that the New York City Police Department (NYPD) was ordered to do so after a number of concerned whistleblowers contacted the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service. Mr Whitley’s sculpture was reportedly confiscated. The artist initially placed the stone in a sheep pasture in Central Park before law enforcement removed it, stored it in a storage locker, and returned it four months later.

Whitley argued that Trump’s tombstone was not a call to violence, but rather had to do with the former president’s legacy. (Related: ‘Like I said…’: President Donald Trump resumes Butler meetings nearly three months after assassination attempt)
“Honestly, it was about Trump and his ego…I felt like this was like a Dickens Christmas story, a way of foreshadowing where his legacy would be,” Whiteley said. said.
But President Trump’s supporters and allies did not appreciate the artist’s sick mockup.
“This so-called artist thinks this stunt is cutting edge, but it’s actually not. Edgy will be going to Iran with art to promote women’s rights on the Ayatollah’s doorstep. Instead, he is displaying this tombstone in the wake of Iran’s ongoing plot to kill him, as well as two assassination attempts against him. This is dangerous.” Mike Walz said about the exhibit.
Despite the attempts on Trump’s life, Whitley said, “I think we should kick his ass at the ballot box.”
