Late-night comedian Bill Maher slammed the Democratic Party on his weekly show “Real Time” Friday evening, saying the party’s “problem can be summed up in one word” by its “woke” ideology and politicians. He said that this was due to the swift action taken by the government. Treating voters as if they were “stupid.”

“Yes, I have bad news: They don’t have a monopoly on idiots,” Maher said of Republicans, accusing Democrats of throwing stones at their own “stupid” shortcomings. “You’re wearing a Queer for Palestine T-shirt, right? And a mask two years after the pandemic ended. And you can’t define a woman. I mean, ‘people who menstruate.’ ”

“You are the teachers’ union education party and you are making a joke of schools and universities,” the “Real Time” host said as headlines detailing declining education rates flashed on the screen.

The comedian said traditional Democratic voters want Vice President Kamala Harris to distance herself from the party’s “Portlandia blueprint” status quo.

Maher called the Democratic Party “a bunch of entitled mean women” who are out of touch with the American people. She said that “racism” was out of the question because former President Barack Obama won two terms, and “sexism” became an issue because Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 by a margin of 3 million votes. “Democrats run as if the voters don’t live here. They don’t go to the grocery store or Starbucks or the office, but they do. They live here. You’re actually looking at women and people of color. And it doesn’t look like a patriarchal racism nightmare,” he said.

The “Real Time” host said that throughout her campaign, Harris kept telling average Americans worried about kitchen table issues that “feelings are fucked.” He criticized the Democratic Party for running its election campaign with contempt for “smart people.”

Maher likened the Democratic Party to a “royal family.” He urged Americans to stop belittling Americans with different opinions, the other half of the country, and instead have productive conversations.

“Let’s stop shouting at people to join our programs and instead create programs that are worth joining,” Maher said.

“Make Two Wake a cancelable offense!” he added. “It’s important for America that there be a center-left party and that it be competitive. And a good first step toward that goal is to make sure voters don’t want to punch you in the face. I guess.”

Maher blamed the loss of the presidency, the House and Senate, and the U.S. Supreme Court on “shitty, xenophobic” Democrats who were “deeply anti-common sense.”

“You’ve lost everything. The House, the Senate, the White House, the Supreme Court have left us completely vulnerable and ready to be violated at any time,” he said. “Happy Thanksgiving everyone!”
