Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) slammed President Joe Biden on Thursday for “embarrassing” America at a World War II commemoration ceremony in France.
The senator was part of a bipartisan congressional delegation that visited Normandy to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II.
Tuberville posted a photo of the president on X, saying he looked “almost asleep.”
“I took this photo [Joe Biden] “I was asleep through most of the ceremony honoring our World War II heroes,” Tuberville said. “Joe Biden continues to be an embarrassment to our country.”

There has been much speculation about Biden's mental and physical decline, including: The Wall Street Journal It details how the president made his “slip-of-the-mouth” behind closed doors.
Tuberville also criticized a portion of Biden's speech during the ceremony in which he talked about how many Russian soldiers had been killed in Ukraine.
“He turned a speech celebrating heroes into a pep rally for Ukraine and boasted about the death toll,” Tuberville said.

Speaking before the trip, Taberville said he was “honoured” to take advantage of the opportunity to join his colleagues in Normandy.
“I am honored to join my colleagues in commemorating the brave soldiers who lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago,” he said. “It has always been one of my bucket lists to see the beaches where young men like my father fought bravely for our freedom. Let us honor them by never forgetting their sacrifice and making sure our children know the truth about the freedoms that make America great.”
Tuberville's father, Charles Tuberville, served in the U.S. Army during this battle, landing on Utah Beach on June 6, 1944 as a tank driver.
