Dashcam footage shows an ambulance narrowly avoiding an overturned car on a Massachusetts highway on Tuesday.
Tim Crosby, a paramedic with Cataldo Ambulance Services, was driving down the highway with a patient in his ambulance when his white sedan began to spin out of control due to harsh winter conditions. according to fox weather. “I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye, and then the car was almost coming towards me,” Crosby told the magazine. “I had to make a split-second decision to go left or right. I made the right decision to go right and avoided the car, but not by much.”

When paramedics arrived at the scene, Crosby's paramedic partner Tim Wareham transported the patient to Boston, the newspaper reported. Wareham was caring for a patient in the back of the ambulance when the incident occurred. according to NBC News.
“When you're living through it, it's like slow motion,” Wareham told the magazine. “It was coming right at us.”
The driver of the sedan lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound on the highway, NBC reported, citing Massachusetts State Police. The car struck a median before hitting a guardrail on the southbound portion of the interstate.
Crosby told the media: “It was such a serious accident that I expected the worst.''
“Fortunately it was a young man and he rolled down his window and seemed to be in good spirits,” he added. “He was just scared to death.”
