Video Shows Long Beach Man Allegedly Attacking Woman With Object While She Was Pushing Baby In Stroller: REPORT

The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced in a press release Thursday that a video captured a man attacking a woman from behind.

According to reports, the man allegedly attacked two women in separate incidents. LBPD. The first assault, recorded on video, shows a man hitting a woman pushing a stroller from behind. Hours later, he allegedly assaulted a 60-year-old woman, according to a release from LBPD.

The first attack occurred shortly before 10 a.m. surveillance video Footage provided by Fox 11 appears to show the alleged assailant lunging at the woman and child and hitting her in the head with a metal object. According to the video, the woman appears to scream in shock and fear and quickly flees the scene in a stroller. She was later treated for her injuries, according to Fox 11. The second attack is said to have occurred just two hours after the first. Jessica Cerda reported that her 60-year-old mother was admitted to her emergency room after an alleged attack by a man. fox 11. Cerda reportedly said the attacker assaulted her mother without robbing her.

LBPD describes the suspect as a “Hispanic adult male, mid-20s, 5'5″ to 5'7”, with a peach mustache, wearing a white hat and a turquoise sweater over a black hooded sweater. “He was wearing white clothes, blue pants, and white clothes.” He wears black tennis shoes and has a black bag hanging from his chest with a shoulder strap around his neck. ”

The community remains shaken as police reportedly intensify the search.

“I don't want to leave the house,” Jenny Smith of Long Beach told Fox 11.

“There are just a few sick people around here,” Wanda Clayton, another area resident, told the magazine.
