Video Shows Police Car Crash In Epic High-Speed Chase Of U-Haul

Dashcam footage from an Arkansas police car captured the moment a U-Haul van accidentally overturned while trying to stop it in February.

Video shows the police car accelerate toward the white van, hitting its rear bumper. After the contact, the car can be seen spinning. The van struck a guardrail on the side of the road, and the police car appeared to spin completely off the road and roll over and over in the dirt.

Two men in a U-Haul were pursued by police when they “collided head-on” with a vehicle early in the pursuit. Police said they were later arrested and discovered that they were already wanted in Michigan for attempting to run over a police officer. press release.

Police charged the men with multiple crimes, including aggravated criminal conspiracy and possession of a destructive device, for the high-speed escape.

Tonti Town Police said four police cars were damaged during the pursuit, as well as numerous vehicles from various agencies. When officers searched the vehicle, they found a firearm and a Molotov cocktail.

Police said the officer in the overturned patrol car suffered minor injuries.

As previously reported, in a separate incident in early February, a police officer was seen on video being hit by a vehicle during a police chase. A police officer was thrown into a speeding car and shot the car's driver through the hood.

Also in February, video was released of an incident in which a police officer chased a naked man down a busy highway in Wisconsin. As previously reported, the man was intoxicated when he crashed his car and fled from police.
