Guests on the Supergirl Sky Flight ride at Six Flags Mexico were reportedly left suspended in the air during a storm on August 18.

“We were on the Supergirl and it started raining as we were sailing and it got really bad pretty quickly,” passenger Omar Hernandez Medrano told FOX Weather. Reported“We got up high and the ride was running in the rain, then the rain stopped and we were stuck at the top in pouring rain for 10 minutes.”
The ride typically transports passengers to a height of about 243 feet at about 40 miles per hour. Website It reads in Spanish: “For approximately two minutes, the ride offers guests breathtaking panoramic views as it spins around the park and city below.”
The theme park blamed the storm for the shutdown, noting that other rides were disrupted as well, ABC 7 News reported. No one was injured in the incident, and people were eventually evacuated, the outlet reported. “Unfortunately, the storm intensified during the evacuation, causing inconvenience to guests,” Six Flags Mexico said in a statement obtained by FOX Weather.
