Video Shows Toddlers In Diapers In Middle Of Highway After Being Ejected In ‘Major’ Car Crash

A video circulating on social media shows a toddler in a diaper being thrown from a vehicle during a “massive” car crash in the middle of a Texas highway.

Officers were called to the scene of a “major accident” involving two vehicles on the East Freeway in Freeport, Houston, Texas, on Sunday. According to Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a tweet that one of the vehicles “flipped several times and was thrown from the vehicle.”

“The kids managed to get up on their own, which is a good sign. They just got a good scrape,” said an eyewitness, who posted the video to Facebook. Written The captions have been translated into English.

In the video, the Jeep can be seen upside down and a nearby white car appears to have damage to its rear. Two young children in diapers can be seen in the middle of the highway as two adults rush towards them. One of the adults appears to be comforting one of the children, and a man can be seen picking up one of the children and rushing towards the other.

The accident occurred next to one of the highway exits. (RELATED: 9 Dead After Car Overturns in Florida Canal).

Two children and one adult were in the car and were taken to a local hospital, while the occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash were not injured, Gonzalez said.

HCSO Senior Deputy Thomas Gilliland said According to the New York Post, all three were in good condition as of Tuesday.

It is unclear whether the toddler was in a car seat at the time of the accident.

Several lanes of the highway remain closed after the incident, including the Freeport service road, Gonzalez said Sunday.
