A Philadelphia couple has been evicted after a TikTok video of them living in a warehouse went viral, the Atlanta Black Star reported on Saturday.

However, after the video went viral, the storage facility's management sent Brown an eviction notice for violating the terms of the facility's contract, the outlet said. “So we were kicked out of the warehouse,” Brown said in a new article. post. “The higher-ups found out about my video, made a big fuss, and eventually got kicked out. Now we're just trying to figure out where we're going and what we're going to do with all our belongings.”
There have been other high-profile incidents in which families have sought refuge in warehouses, according to the Atlanta Black Star. For example, in 2019, a North Dakota man died in a storage fire, and in 2017, a Kansas man was charged with child endangerment because he lived in an apartment with two children, the paper said. After this week's eviction, Brown and his girlfriend received an invitation from a good Samaritan for a free weekend stay at a hotel, the newspaper reported.
“We’re just grateful that someone thinks of us that way at that level and is willing to provide resources like that,” Brown said. “Let's have some fun and relax for once.”
The paper said Brown and his girlfriend are now trying to figure out where to go next and who they can turn to for help.
