Vulnerable Dem Rep Changing His Tune On Men In Women’s Sports After Voting Against Bill To Protect It

Democrat Maine Rep. Jared Golden has hit a new tone on the issue of transgender issues after repeatedly voting for laws that seek to protect women’s sports and women-only spaces.

A perennial vulnerable Democrat incumbent, Golden appears to be walking back in support of biological men’s unlimited access to girls and women’s sports that come at the expense of fair play and safety of female athletes. Golden’s Recent statement His suggestion of moderation on transgender issues comes after Democrats fought the left-wing gender ideological party line, despite having previously been a step away from the majority of Americans. Maine legislators too common and vote The Equality Act of 2021 would allow access to female-only spaces for biological men, including locker rooms, dressing rooms and shelters for women to escape domestic violence.

Despite past support for Golden Left gender ideology, Maine’s voting history appears to be one step at a time with most Americans’ beliefs on transgender issues.

According to the New York Times-IPSOS, about 79% of Americans oppose biological men who compete in women’s sports investigation It will be held from January 2nd to January 10th.

Golden does not issue a statement describing his vote for women and girls in the January Sports Act, and does not appear to outline his views on whether biological men should be allowed to participate in girls and women’s sports. Published Tuesday’s blog post.

“For most people, the fact that men and women are different is as contradictory as you can get,” Golden writes. “The growing perception and acceptance of trans students complicates this arrangement, but that doesn’t simply mean that biology can be ignored.”

“I think the state was wrong by overturning the half-century of Title IX precedent and requesting men who have borne school districts early in the transition to open a women’s sports program and those who have not undergone a medical transition at all to open a women’s sports program,” continued Golden. “It would also be wrong to rule out trans children entirely. But the current system of making children change teams based on gender self-identification is too low to justify violating girls’ title IX rights.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation asked Golden’s office if Maine Democrats regretted opposing the protection of women and girls in sports law.

The Maine Assemblyman’s office did not answer the questions directly, but Golden implied that it opposed the provisions of the bill withholding federal funds for schools that allow biological men to compete in sports for girls and women.

“If you read the Congressman’s material, I know he continues to believe that “it is wrong for the President to have trans kids and that it is wrong to benefit all the students in the main hostage,” a Golden spokesman told DCNF. “Rep. believe there are many ways to focus their reactions without putting the funds of all Maine students at risk if there is a problem with policy decisions made by the state legislature or local school district.”

“Every child has a right to quality education, and it’s wrong to punish all main schools for disagreements on policies that apply to a small number of students,” Golden told WGME-TV on February 21.

Golden’s comments come after President Donald Trump clashed with Democratic Maine Governor Janet Mills over the state’s decision to rebel against the president Presidential Order Protecting girls and women sports. The executive order imposes a categorical ban on the participation of biological men in girls and women’s sports and withholds federal funds from schools that refuse to comply.

After that, the Ministry of Education announcement The agency has launched Title IX surveys for the state’s education department and one school district, continuing to comply with state laws and allowing trans athletes unlimited access to girls and women’s sports.

Golden is not the only House Democrat to suggest recent comments to the Center on Transgender Issues despite patterns of voting for bills that sponsor laws that protect women’s sports and endanger women’s only spaces. Rep. Seth Moulton, a Democrat from Massachusetts, spoke about concerns about trans athletes in women’s sports after closing his ranks with House Democrats after the November 5 election and voting against the Women’s Sports Bill. Moulton also sponsored the failed Equality Act.

Republican strategists are trying to hold Golden and other Congressional Democrats accountable for past votes in favour of biological male athletes participating in women’s sports, despite suggesting new rhetoric that suggests mitigation on the issue of transgender.

“Plain and Simple: Jared Golden is repeatedly voting on the far left to force a radical transgender agenda for children, and now trying to cover his tracks to score political points,” Maureen O’Toole, a spokeswoman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, told DCNF.
