‘Wanted To Kill Most World Leaders’: Nurse Who Alerted Authorities About Trump Gunman Reveals Disturbing Past Behavior

A nurse provided further details Tuesday about the violent tendencies of Ryan Wesley Routh, the man who allegedly plotted to assassinate former President Donald Trump on Sunday at Trump National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Chelsea Walsh was working in humanitarian aid in Ukraine when she met Routh. According to to Florida-based Fox 29. exterior On Jesse Watters' “Prime Time,” Walsh claimed that as a duty-bound reporter trained to identify threats, she noticed his erratic tendencies and felt a professional obligation to report him.

“After getting to know Ryan for some time, I determined that he was a threat to others, so I felt I needed to notify the appropriate authorities,” Walsh told Watters. “I haven't heard anything, I haven't heard anything. No one has tried to contact me to this day… An agency has contacted me, I don't want to say which, but someone has contacted me.”

Walsh said Routh's activities in Ukraine were multifaceted and worrying, describing him as a skilled conman who manipulated Ukrainian soldiers and defrauded charities.

“Ryan was involved not only in the military side but also in the humanitarian side. He was involved in things he shouldn't have been involved in. He was able to deceive members of the Ukrainian military,” the nurse continued.

“He was able to defraud charities and was a great conman. He was calculating but also very volatile and sporadic. He dabbled in everything: drones, weapons, humanitarian aid. He got involved in things he shouldn't have been involved in because he had no experience in any of this.”

Walsh's anxiety grew to the point where she felt her own safety was at risk.

“Ryan caused me to leave Ukraine early on my first visit. After a conversation I had with him, which I don't want to go into detail about now, I felt I was in danger,” she told Watters. “One of the reasons I left Ukraine was because I felt I would be in danger if I stayed there with him nearby.”

Walsh recounted Routh's extraordinary past actions, revealing his interest in assassinating world leaders. (Related: Liberal media suggests Trump wanted it after second assassination attempt)

“He wanted to kill most of the world leaders. I don't remember. It's been over two years since I was with him, but I clearly remember him always talking about wanting to kill Putin and Kim Jong Un. He made plans and talked about Biden and Trump, but I don't remember,” the nurse explained.

New York Times reporter Thomas Gibbons also spoke about his previous meeting with Routh in an interview on “The Lead with Jake Tapper.” Gibbons said he met Routh through a series of international connections that began during his time as a reporter in Kabul, and that he was surprised by the news that Routh was plotting to assassinate Trump.
