Popular podcast host Joe Rogan slammed fact-checkers' reporting about Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz on his show on Thursday, calling it “bullshit.”
Rogan appeared with YouTuber Bob Zimran on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” where the two discussed “gaslighting” Harris after Zimran noted that the vice president was considered a “joke” “even among Democrats” before being touted as the party's new presidential candidate. Rogan accused the “blanket” of pushing positive stories about Harris and slammed Waltz as an “extremist,” while saying fact checkers “lie and purposefully misrepresent the facts.” (RELATED: Harris campaign quietly removes 'retired Army sergeant major' from Waltz's biography)
“Yeah, we're definitely being gaslighted. But it's not just that. And that's the big problem. She wasn't elected. She was appointed vice president, but there was no primary. There was no primary for Joe Biden. And now he dropped out, so all of a sudden she's the nominee. So they brought her in and they brought in another guy who's an extremist out of Minnesota, a vice president who believes in a lot of outlandish things,” Rogan said.
“One is sex-change surgery for people under 13. The other is abortion up to nine months,” Logan continued. “Obviously, there are medical reasons for doing that… but that kind of thing scares the hell out of people. He changed the Minnesota state flag to look like the Somali flag.”
Logan then showed Zimran a video of Waltz changing the Minnesota state flag. However, as producer Jamie Vernon searched for the video, he discovered that fact-checkers were claiming that the design did not resemble the Somali flag. Logan quickly fired back, calling some of the fact-checkers “total bullshit.”
“Yeah, that's the problem with fact checkers. Some of them are just total bullshit, as if they're trying to debunk something, especially now with all this scrutiny being put into what this guy has done,” Rogan said.

Vernon then listed articles defending Walz, and pressed Logan to show him a photo of Minnesota's new state flag side-by-side with the Somali flag, pointing out the similarities between the two. Walz announced the change in May, and state lawmakers argued the new design was an attempt to avoid painful memories of Native Americans depicted on the flag.
“Yeah, fact checkers are fucking dangerous. And, I mean, what you're seeing is a form of treason. If you're seeing those fact checks, that's what they are,” Rogan continued. “You're lying, you're deliberately distorting the facts, you're doing it because you want a certain political outcome, and it should be illegal. Especially if people think of you as a fact checker, you know what that means? What does it mean to be a fact checker?”
“The problem with facts is a lot of it is very subjective and you might find one little inconsistency. Or if you phrase the question a certain way, the answer might be wrong if you phrase it another way. It's because you're finding a nuanced way of looking at things. I've seen a lot of that and it gets to the point where there's no fact checking at all. You guys are just saying shit. You guys are just gaslighting. Pure gaslighting,” Logan said.
