Shocking footage posted online after New York City's Pride Parade on Sunday afternoon shows chaos unfolding in the park, with a woman being dragged and punched by other people.
The footage, taken by Olya Scootercaster and posted to X (formerly Twitter), shows chaotic moments from multiple brawls following New York's annual Pride Parade, with a large crowd gathered in Washington Square Park and two women being seen being punched near a fountain.
The video begins with a woman dressed in all black being punched by another woman, and then shows a second woman dressed in pink being punched and dragged by her hair by a group of other women. As the attack progresses, screams can be heard from the crowd, and some people pull out their mobile phones to record the incident. “Stand back, stand back!” someone could be heard yelling as a woman in pink rose from the ground.
A second video, posted minutes later, shows people dancing on a street lamp in the park, with viewers nearby who appear to be recording and encouraging them. It's unclear what sparked the fight between the women, but the scooter caster later Posts Authorities are reportedly making arrests.

In the second brawl, recorded by a scooter anchor, several people were seen punching each other and the crowd could be heard screaming, who was also seen recording the incident.

Before the incident, the New York City Police Department had tried to close off the park and barricade the large crowds, but were unable to keep people out.
