Wild Video Shows Tornado Rip Roof Off House Amid Hurricane Beryl Remnants

Shocking footage was posted on Wednesday showing a tornado blowing roofs off homes as remnants of Hurricane Beryl ripped through upstate New York.

Brandon Mead, a local resident of Arkright, New York, captured on camera the moment the tornado ripped the roof off his family's home and destroyed a nearby barn. according to WKBW News.

In a video shared by the media outlet, strong winds can be seen blowing into nearby trees as Meade seeks shelter in a nearby house. The roof of Meade's parents' house can then be seen peeling off and flying into the sky. Dark clouds can then be seen moving towards the cameraman, scattering debris in all directions.

“I was in the shop working on a trailer and we saw the crash coming closer and it sounded like a jet engine coming down the hill,” Mead told WKBW. “So we went outside to see what was going on and realized the flying pieces of wood were probably a sign to take shelter inside.”

The tornado was one of four confirmed in Western New York on Wednesday, WKBW News reported. reportCiting the National Weather Service (NWS).
