The Maricopa County Library District's annual winter reading program is back with a new awards partner.
This year, Winter readers who reach 500 points will win one lawn ticket to a spring training game at Camelback Ranch Baseball Stadium in Glendale. He is running from now until Sunday, February 11th, and participants can record their reading records online. https://Winter.mcldaz.org/ (English) or https://Winter.mcldaz.org/es-US/ (Spanish).
Unlike summer reading programs, winter reading programs are aimed only at adults. Participants earn 1 point for every minute they read a physical or e-book or listen to an audiobook.
You can also earn extra points by completing themed online challenges.
“We hope that the winter reading program will encourage people to slowly connect with good books this winter,” Maricopa County Library District Director and County Librarian Jeremy Reeder said in a press release. “And once that much-needed ‘me’ time is over, it’s time to head to the ballpark and celebrate with a game.”
Readers who enter at least 60 points each week will automatically be entered into a weekly drawing to win a library prize pack, Harkins Theater prize pack, “I Love My Library” car sunshade, or a day pass to a Maricopa County park.
All participants who reach 500 points by February 11th will receive one lawn ticket to a spring training game at Camelback Ranch Ballpark.
