Woman accused of threatening Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb

The suspect is accused of sending threatening emails to law enforcement officers and violating a protective order, according to court records.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — A woman was recently arrested in Pinal County on suspicion of threatening violence against Sheriff Mark Lamb.

Hanna Luna was taken into custody on suspicion of sending threatening emails to elected officials and violating an order of protection, according to court records.

One of the threatening emails included a photo of a child with the word “RIP” and a drawing of blood pasted on it.

When questioned about the threat, Luna denied access to electronic devices, according to court records. She was booked into the Pinal County Jail.

When asked if PCSO would hand over the case to another agency to avoid a conflict of interest, the sheriff's office initially asked the FBI to investigate, but the FBI declined to become involved and will pursue the case independently. He said he had decided to do so.

Additionally, PCSO emphasized that Sheriff Lamb was not the only victim in this case.
