Woman dies in Mohave County custody, cause still unknown

Mojave County, Arizona — A woman died in a Mojave County ambulance on Friday while en route to a local hospital.of county sheriff’s office A cause of death has not yet been made public.

A woman identified as Megan Petersen, 36, of Bullhead City was jailed on Feb. 2 for possession of drug paraphernalia, detectives said. She was placed in the medical wing of the county’s adult care facility in Kingman.

Petersen was pronounced dead when she arrived at the hospital in an ambulance, an agent said.

Authorities did not say why Petersen was taken to the hospital or what caused his death. The county coroner is working to determine toxicology.
