Yavapai College Celebrates Graduation Achievement
Yavapai College has once again demonstrated its pivotal role in northern Arizona, announcing the graduation of 1,258 students for the 2024-2025 academic year. This achievement underscores the college’s dedication to providing accessible, inclusive, and career-focused education throughout the region.
The graduates were celebrated during the 55th commencement ceremony held last weekend at the YC Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale and the Findrate Yota Centre in Prescott Valley.
The data showcases a dynamic and diverse graduating class, featuring health professionals, first responders, skilled tradespeople, business owners, and more. Highlights from the graduation class include:
- 60 baccalaureate degrees – Illustrating YC’s growing offerings in four-year programs.
- 599 Associate Degrees – This equips graduates with foundational and career-oriented credentials.
- 1,014 certificates and 253 Arizona General Education Certificates – These contribute to workforce development and skill training in essential industries.
- Graduates range in age from 15 to 80, showing that lifelong learning is very much a reality at Yavapai College.
- 30 graduates are under 18 and some over 55, representing everyone from dual-enrolled high school students to seniors eager for new challenges, highlighting YC’s broad reach.
- The average age is 27.1, reflecting the institution’s support for both traditional and non-traditional learners seeking brighter futures.
